What's in the pack this month
1. Video Editing Skill
Give it a long video. It transcribes it, finds 3 to 5 moments that open with a hook in the first 2 seconds, and lists the timestamps and reasons before it cuts anything. Then it makes vertical clips for Reels, TikTok and Shorts with captions, level audio and the dead air taken out. Each clip comes with a suggested caption.
2. Reels Effects Skill
For the clips you want to stand out. It adds big hook text, word-by-word captions in your brand colors, zooms on the words you stress, screenshots that appear when you mention them, B-roll, and whoosh sounds on transitions with music kept under your voice. It writes an edit plan first so you can see every effect before it renders.
3. Footage to 3 Hooks Skill
Takes one strong moment and builds three versions of the opening: the big moment first, a reaction first, or a short question on screen. It scores each one, writes the captions in your voice and saves them as drafts. Each week it looks at what you posted, tells you which opening worked and what to film next.

- Subscribe and download the pack.
- Add the Skills to Claude (Settings, then Skills, then upload) or paste them into a ChatGPT Project.
- Fill in your brand settings once.
- Drop in your footage, or a transcript with timestamps, and ask for clips.
- Review the drafts. Approve, ask for changes or toss them, then post the ones you like yourself.
What you need
- Footage you own or have the rights to use. A phone video works.
- A Claude or ChatGPT account. Skills and Projects work best on a paid plan.
- To get a finished video file rendered for you: Claude Code, or another AI that can run code, on a computer with ffmpeg, a free video tool. The setup guide walks you through it.
- Without that, the Skills give you the clip plan, the captions file and the exact steps to finish in your own editing app.
- Optional: your logo, screenshots, B-roll and music you have the rights to use.

What is the Monthly Skill Pack?
The Monthly Skill Pack is a subscription to video editing Skills from Meredith Medland for Claude and ChatGPT. It turns raw footage into short vertical clips, captions and hook options as drafts. It costs $49 a month, a new Skill is added every month, and you can cancel anytime.
What is a Claude Skill?
A Claude Skill is a file of instructions Claude follows for a specific job, such as editing a clip. You upload it once in Claude's settings and then ask for it by name in any chat.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. Paste the Skill into a ChatGPT Project or custom GPT. ChatGPT gives you the clip plan, the captions file and the editing steps. Whether it can render the finished video depends on the tools turned on in your account.
Will it edit the video for me?
It renders the finished video when your AI can run code with ffmpeg, for example Claude Code on your computer. In a regular chat it gives you the edit plan, a ready caption file and the steps to finish in your own editing app.
Do I need to be technical?
For clip plans and captions, no. Rendering the video yourself means running a few copy-paste commands, and the setup guide explains each one.
Will it post to my Instagram or TikTok?
No. Every clip and caption comes back as a draft. You review it and post it yourself.
Can I use it with CapCut or Instagram's editor?
Yes. Use the edit plan and caption file as your guide in any editing app.
What kind of footage works best?
Talking-head videos, classes, talks, interviews and event footage with clear audio. The Skills find clip moments from what is said, so good sound matters more than a fancy camera.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your billing link. New Skills stop at the end of your billing month.
Do I keep the Skills if I cancel?
Yes. Every Skill you've received is yours to keep after you cancel.
How often are new Skills added?
