Anthropic Just Gave Lagree Studio Owners Something New

    9 min read

Claude for Small Business connects directly to QuickBooks, HubSpot, Canva, and Slack.

Anthropic launched Claude for Small Business on May 13, 2026, a toggle-install plugin inside the Claude Cowork desktop app.

It ships with 15 prebuilt agentic workflows and 15 reusable skills covering payroll planning, invoice chasing, month-end reconciliation, sales campaigns, and contract routing.

Claude now acts directly inside QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Square, Stripe, and Webflow.

For Lagree studios already running QuickBooks for bookkeeping and Canva for class promo graphics, these integrations are immediately relevant.

No new subscription required. If you have Claude Pro ($20/month) or Claude Team, open the Cowork desktop app and enable the small business plugin.

Anthropic says you can tell Claude "get me started," and it walks you through configuration.

Anthropic also launched a free AI Fluency for Small Business course (built with PayPal) and a 10-city SMB training tour starting May 14 in Chicago, with stops in Dallas, San Jose, and eight other cities.

For the past two years, using AI in a Lagree studio meant opening ChatGPT or Claude, typing a question about retention rates or instructor scheduling, reading the answer, then going back to Walla, Mindbody or Mariana Tek or your Google Sheet to do the work yourself.

    Anthropic changed that equation.

Claude for Small Business connects directly to the financial, marketing, and communication tools most studios already pay for.

Instead of generating advice you then execute manually, Claude can now move across your stack and take action inside it.

The integration list at launch: QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Square, Stripe, and Webflow.

Eleven connectors, no additional charge beyond your existing Claude subscription.

Why This Matters for Lagree Studios

Lagree studios operate in a narrow margin environment.

First-year costs typically range from $385,000 to $780,000+, driven by Megaformer equipment and build-out.

Once open, the two largest ongoing expenses are payroll and rent. Every hour an owner spends chasing invoices, reconciling QuickBooks, or building next week's promo graphics in Canva is an hour not spent on instructor development, client retention, or filling classes.

Studio management platforms like Walla, TeamUp, and Mariana Tek handle class scheduling and membership billing well.

What they do not handle: financial reporting, marketing campaign execution, contract routing and cross-tool workflows that eat 8 to 10 hours of admin time per week for a typical studio owner. Those are the exact workflows Claude for Small Business was built to collapse.

Five Workflows a Lagree Studio Owner Could Run This Week

15 prebuilt workflows and the tool connectors available at launch...

    1. Month-End Financial Close

Tools involved: QuickBooks + Google Workspace

Claude pulls your QuickBooks data, reconciles transactions, flags discrepancies, and generates a summary report in Google Docs.

For a studio doing $40K to $80K monthly across class packages, retail, and private sessions, this workflow replaces the evening you currently spend cross-referencing Square deposits against your chart of accounts.

    2. Instructor Payroll Prep

Tools involved: QuickBooks + Google Workspace

Every Lagree class requires a certified instructor, which makes payroll calculation a recurring task with real complexity (per-class rates, sub coverage, bonus structures). Claude can pull hours, calculate pay across rate tiers, and prep the payroll run in QuickBooks before you review and approve.

    3. Lapsed Member Win-Back Campaign

Tools involved: HubSpot + Canva + Slack

Identify members who have not booked in 30+ days through HubSpot, generate a re-engagement email sequence with Canva-designed graphics, and notify your front desk team via Slack when someone rebooks. This is the kind of retention workflow that most single-location studios know they should run but never find time to build.

    4. Corporate Partnership Contracts

Tools involved: DocuSign + Google Workspace

If your studio offers corporate rates or private group bookings, Claude can draft the agreement in Google Docs, route it through DocuSign, and track signature status. Corporate partnerships are a high-margin revenue stream that many Lagree studios underserve because the admin friction of contract creation and follow-up is too high relative to the deal size.

    5. Weekly Class Promo Content

Tools involved: Canva + HubSpot + Slack

Generate class-specific promotional graphics in Canva, pair them with targeted email sends through HubSpot for underbooked time slots, and coordinate the posting schedule with your team in Slack.

The studios that fill their 6 AM and 12 PM weekday slots consistently are the ones with a repeatable promo system, not the ones with the best instructors.

    What This Does Not Replace

Claude for Small Business does not connect to Walla, TeamUp, Mariana Tek, or Mindbody.

Your studio management platform still handles class scheduling, client check-ins, and membership billing.

What Claude handles is the layer above and around those systems: the financial reporting, marketing execution, contract management, and team communication that currently live in six different browser tabs.

The practical read: this is a back-office compression tool, not a studio management replacement.

    The Competitive Math

Studio management software saves Lagree owners an estimated 8 to 10 hours per week on scheduling and billing alone. Claude for Small Business targets a different 8 to 10 hours: the financial close, the marketing campaigns you know you should run, the invoice follow-ups that slip, the payroll prep that eats a Sunday afternoon.

A studio owner who connects Claude to QuickBooks and HubSpot this month starts compressing that second block of admin hours while competitors are still doing it manually.

At $20/month for Claude Pro with no additional charge for the small business plugin, the cost barrier is effectively zero for any studio already past break-even.
